Vision
By 2030, INGUAT has established itself as the leading institution that fosters and promotes the country’s tourism development and promotion, in coordination with public and private institutions, within the framework of the current Master Tourism Plan, for the benefit of the Guatemalan population.
Mission
We are the highest tourism authority in Guatemala, responsible for regulating and overseeing the promotion, development, and sustainable growth of tourism in coordination with the public and private sectors. Our work benefits visitors, service providers, and host communities, guided by the principles of confidentiality, discipline, efficiency, equity, impartiality, cultural relevance, integrity, truthfulness, and a commitment to service.
Strategic Objectives
As outlined and approved in the Institutional Strategic Plan 2020-2030:
Provide technical assistance to the public and private sectors to develop and identify tourism products, enhancing the competitiveness and innovation of tourism destinations through the strengthening of business capacity, quality service provision, trained human capital, and the support of an effective regulatory framework.
Improve the country's image positioning as a cultural and natural tourism destination at both national and international levels, focusing efforts on establishing a Tourism Satellite Account.
Continuously enhance processes, systems, platforms, and financial and technological applications, as well as human resource training and regulatory compliance, ensuring a results-driven management approach.
